Born in Bilbao, capital of the world, from early childhood ate very well thanks to his mother, Mari Carmen, and his second mother, Juli, true masterpieces of traditional cuisine. He studied philology at the University of Deusto and went to Madrid to do a masters in journalism at the newspaper El Pais. He worked in Cadena Ser, Telemadrid, Canal Plus and El País, where he was part of the team of the supplement El País de las Tentaciones taking the music section from its founding until 2000. As he made his first experiments in the kitchen of his house got to work on the Internet at sites like Loquesea.com and Ya.com. In 2004 he moved to Barcelona, where he met the wonders of Mediterranean cuisine and culinary technique learned in hotel school Hofmann. Collaborated in La Vanguardia, Rolling Stone and Marie Claire and was editor of ADN newspaper until early 2009. After success against all odds with Ondakin blog, currently writes the blog El Comidista on the web of El País.
